_______
If you track your FK8, you already know the story: coolant temps climb fast, and the factory system gets overwhelmed. The Wunderladen Racing Tri Cooler Combo is a complete cooling overhaul that tackles the biggest heat sources on the K20C1 — engine oil, engine coolant load, and transmission temps — all in one integrated, purpose-built package.
From the factory, the FK8 uses an oil heater that routes both coolant and oil together to warm oil faster, but once up to temp, the cooling system is stuck trying to pull heat out of the oil, adding load to an already stressed radiator. Wunderladen's solution replaces that heater entirely with a dedicated oil cooler housing (not a sandwich plate), with -10 ORB ports for large, leak-resistant O-ring sealed connections, an integrated thermostat so oil warms up quickly then routes through the cooler once at operating temp, and no coolant flow through the housing — so your coolant system isn't tasked with removing oil heat anymore. The kit uses a robust 19-row oil cooler mounted in the main grille for maximum airflow, with stainless bolt-on brackets that use existing mounting points, no drilling or cutting required.
The combo doesn't stop at oil. The FK8 also has a transmission fluid heater that again uses engine coolant to manage temps. Wunderladen removes that heater block and adds a 19-row secondary radiator (coolant heat exchanger) mounted beside the oil cooler in the main grille, plus a 10-row transmission cooler mounted behind the driver-side bumper vent (LHD) for direct airflow. The FK8 transmission already has an internal pump, so no inline pump is needed.
