The factory inlet pipe on the L15B7 is a bottleneck sitting right before the turbocharger, restricting airflow before it even gets a chance to spool. PRL's Titanium Turbocharger Inlet Pipe Kit is a direct bolt-on that clears that restriction, letting the turbo breathe and operate more efficiently. Thin-wall titanium construction helps reduce heat-soak compared to a standard aluminum pipe, and a cast aluminum inlet piece provides a smooth transition from the gasket-matched 50mm ID compressor inlet to a 76.2mm OD / 74mm ID outlet through the titanium crossover pipe.

Compressor outlet diameter jumps to 45mm from the factory's 38mm, sized specifically to complement the 1.5L's displacement — a real increase in airflow volume over the factory inlet while still maintaining velocity. The multi-piece design (versus a single-piece pipe) makes for easier installation and better real-world fitment.
