Honda uses a 64.1mm center bore across all OEM wheels. Aftermarket wheels almost always have a larger factory bore, so hub rings are what center the wheel properly on the hub - without them, the wheel relies entirely on the lug studs for centering, which adds unnecessary stress and vibration.

Plastic is the right choice for street cars since it won't corrode or seize against the rotor mounting surface over time.
