Hybrid Racing Adjustable Short Shifter | 22+ Civic, 23+ Integra

Love the way the shifts feel. I enjoy shifting gears.

I have had this one for a few months. Initially drove with it in the default throw and gate setting (there are 2 available settings) which provided a very OEM+ feel. The engagement and throw are close to the OEM bolt action feeling which is my preference, it's very smooth vs mechanical (notchy). It does feel closer to a shift rod assembly vs cable. I then decided to switch the throw over to the shorter setting while leaving the gate at default, and this drastically shortened the throw, at its shortest it does require slightly more effort, I am running this with the the hybrid detent springs and acuitu bushings so YMMV. You can counter this simply by raising the shift rod and increasing the weight of the knob to find a happy medium. My only small gripe, and reason for 4 stars, is that the machining tolerances and built in spring allow for some play when in neutral and in gear. Also note thay on the ITS/DE5, due to the additional plastic bezel around the shifter assembly, the part I circled in my attached photo can only be secured straight up and down, otherwise it bangs into the bezel when shifting into first or reverse.

Other than that I would def recommend this shifter if your preference is for smooth actuation vs mechanical or notchy engagement.

First off let me say Hybrid Racing knocked it out of the park with this SS! Hands down the best SS I’ve ever felt in any of my previous cars w/ an after market short shifter. The quality is superior, well built and doesn’t feel or look cheap. Ascetically it’s beautiful yet the functionality and performance delivers a different driving experience from oem. When I first drove it after the installation it felt like I was driving a different car. Hands down a must have! Highly recommended! Humza, provided me excellent customer service! I'm currently running the Hybrid Racing short shift kit on my Type S in the default settings and it's absolutely perfect! The stock shifter is already great to begin with but I personally felt it was a little too light and too smooth for my tastes. With the SSK, the shift effort has definitely increased but not a considerable, unwanted amount. Just enough to make shifting more engaging and fun. In fact you get used to it right away and it feels OEM+. Shifts are much more satisfying and you can row through gears quickly.

The throws are short enough to make for fast, easy shifts but not so short that it feels like you're just toggling a switch. The movement betweens gates is reduced as well and no time is lost when shifting from 2->3 and 4->5.

Install was easy and required only basic hand tools; no special tools or power tools. You cannot mess up this install. The kit itself comes pre-assembled, is not overly complicated, and is very well-made. You can also easily adjust the positioning of the lever height and orientation with the two adjustment screws.

I also have a modified slave cylinder, CMC bypass, and steel braided clutch line. This combination of mods allows me to fly through gears so quickly it sounds like I'm driving an automatic.

I would highly recommend this mod if you're searching for an elevated shifting experience.

I got the hybrid racing short shifter. A few months ago and I’ve been running it in its shortest setting. I highly recommend it. It removes the slop from the stock si shifter and makes for the most direct and crisp shifts ever. The throws between gears are so close together but just perfect for spirited driving and track use. Overall definitely would recommend it
