The Hawk HPS 5.0 is the ideal upgrade for Type R and Integra Type S owners who want noticeably better braking on the street and occasional track use — without the noise, dust, or harshness of a full race pad. Tested on both the Unity Si and Type R, the HPS 5.0 improves over OEM pads with shorter stopping distances, better heat resistance, and virtually silent operation with less brake dust.

The Ferro-Carbon compound operates effectively from 100–1200°F with an optimal range of 100–550°F — well suited for spirited street driving and 1–2 track days on smaller circuits. Not recommended for high-speed tracks where sustained extreme heat is expected.
