aFe's Momentum system centers on a 7.5" tall, 360-degree radial flow air filter — as much filtration surface area as the housing can physically accommodate. The Pro 5R media uses five layers of progressively finer cotton gauze for genuinely high flow without sacrificing filtration, suited for street or track use.

The one-piece housing is molded from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) with a patented filter-to-housing interface, plus a clear sight window to check filter condition without disassembly. It uses factory mounting locations and transfers the factory seal trim directly onto the Takeda housing.
