aFe's Momentum system centers on a 7.5" tall, 360-degree radial flow air filter — as much filtration surface area as the housing can physically accommodate. The Pro 5R media uses five layers of progressively finer cotton gauze for genuinely high flow without sacrificing filtration, suited for street or track use, with an inverted top design that adds even more surface area for longer service intervals.

The one-piece housing is molded from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) with a patented filter-to-housing interface that keeps part count low and installation simple, plus a clear sight window to check filter condition without disassembly. It uses factory mounting locations and transfers the factory seal trim directly onto the Takeda housing, so cold air from the front of the car stays properly channeled into the airbox rather than leaking warm engine air into the intake path. The dyno-tuned intake tube is computer-designed for both maximum flow and a precise fit, built from the same heat-soak-resistant XLPE material.
