Acuity Stage 1 Shift Kit | 16-21 Civic

I broke one of the M5 bolts holding the centre console to the car while removing it. Luckily my console still seems fairly solid with just one bolt but it should be advised to use penetrating oil on those rear centre console screws before removing them, especially in a winter-driven car, as they are exposed on the bottom of the car. It's a good upgrade, and everything seems of high quality. I don't notice much difference from the centering spring, but the bushings do improve the feel of the shifting. The stock shifter felt like the throws would get longer under load, the shifter cable bushings solve that (I installed those before the rest of the kit). When installing the cable bushings, I could not get the shift cable retainer clips off the transmission, but I managed to install the cable bushings anyway, just trying to be gentle with the cables. The base bushings make it easier to shift quickly; the lever feels like it falls into gear more easily (which kind of accentuates the rev hang). Overall I am happy with it and I would probably buy it again, especially on a a higher-mileage car (just remember to use that penetrating oil on tough bolts!).
