Even with Acura's active exhaust valve, the stock DE5 exhaust stays fairly tame, and 27WON built this system to actually deliver the sound and flow the Type S deserves. On a dyno-tested FL5 (the DE5's mechanical sibling), the catback alone added +6 peak whp and +8 peak lb-ft, but the real story is the mid-range and top-end: nearly +20whp between 2,000-3,750 RPM, and the gap widens further past 5,500 RPM for a full +17whp gain, expect similar results on the DE5. Add the downpipe with the turboback option and gains climb further.

Industry-leading 80mm (3.125") piping runs the full length, including the included frontpipe, for real flow rather than a size number for marketing. A resonator on the forward mid-pipe, mirroring the OEM layout, was tuned in after extensive testing to cut drone while keeping a deep, rasp-free note loud enough for a tuner to love without bothering the neighbors. The factory exhaust valve is retained, so Comfort mode stays civil and Sport+ opens it up.

The signature triple-tip design uses three equally sized, just-under-4.5" polished 304 stainless dual-wall tips that sit tight to the rear diffuser with no poke, and thick 3-bolt flanges at every connection point mean a genuinely secure, leak-free install rather than the slip joints cheaper systems rely on.
