The factory MAP sensor on the 1.5T Civic has an accurate reading limit of approximately 28 psi — which becomes a hard ceiling for high-boost builds. The 27WON 4-Bar MAP Sensor extends that range to safely read up to ~45 psi, making it a required upgrade for any build pushing beyond the factory boost limit or turbocharging a naturally aspirated application.

The MAP sensor reads manifold air pressure and converts it to electrical data for the ECU, which uses it to make fueling and timing adjustments. When the factory sensor maxes out, the ECU loses accurate data — a dangerous situation at high boost. The 27WON unit resolves this with a wider, accurate pressure range.
