The factory top hat uses a rubber bushing that absorbs some of the road feel and steering response you're paying your coilovers to deliver. RS-R's Front Pillowball Upper Mounts replace that rubber with a PTFE-lined Japanese pillowball bearing, bolting the strut solidly to the chassis so your coilovers can actually do their job — instant steering response and predictable weight transfer on corner entry, without flex soaking up the input.

Beyond eliminating flex, the mounts add real adjustability: rotate the plate to dial in up to ±3° of camber or +1° of caster, whether you're chasing a track alignment, tuning for autocross, or just dropping in a cleaner street stance. Everything is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and engineered around the FK8 and FL5 strut tower geometry specifically, so nothing binds or contacts the tower at full droop.
