NEW! Black Thermal Dispersant Coating

PRL has also begun offering a version of the Tube and Fin Intercooler that features a specialized black thermal dispersant coating applied to the exterior surfaces of the core. Unlike a standard finish, this coating is designed to improve how heat moves across and away from the intercooler. It pulls heat from localized hot spots and spreads it more evenly across the entire surface, allowing more of the core to actively release heat into the airflow.

In extended driving conditions where temperatures stay elevated, this helps the intercooler shed heat more efficiently and recover faster between pulls. The result is improved thermal consistency during long sessions, along with added corrosion resistance and surface protection.

Bottom line: For extended track sessions or sustained spirited driving, this intercooler provides the most stable, consistent cooling performance in our lineup.

The PRL Motorsports 2024–2026 Acura Integra DE5 Type-S Tube-and-Fin Intercooler Upgrade is engineered to deliver superior cooling performance and reduced weight for high-demand driving applications. Designed specifically for the Acura DE5 platform, this intercooler uses an advanced tube-and-fin core that promotes rapid heat transfer with thinner walls and enhanced airflow, enabling more efficient charge air cooling at higher speeds compared with traditional bar-and-plate designs.

Constructed with lightweight CNC-machined billet aluminum end tanks and optimized internal geometry, the intercooler decreases thermal mass while maintaining strong flow characteristics, supporting consistent and stable cooling during extended track sessions or spirited road use.

The upgrade fits 2024–2026 Acura Integra Type-S (DE5) models and retains OEM-style sealing. Installation includes all necessary hardware plus custom O-rings and a rubber edge seal to ensure a secure fit.
