The factory cold-side charge pipe is a genuine restriction at just 1.5" — PRL's kit steps that up to 2.5", while keeping the hot-side outlet at factory diameter to help the turbo spool. Every coupler in the kit is 4-ply silicone rather than factory rubber, which matters for a few real reasons: silicone resists heat transfer far better than rubber, holds up to boost pressure without the expansion and eventual leaks factory hoses are known for, and molds into smoother, higher-flowing bends than rigid metal tubing could achieve.

The silicone couplers also fit noticeably better than the factory hoses, especially if you're already running an aftermarket radiator where clearance gets tight. The result is more consistent power delivery and fewer boost leak headaches down the road.
