The K20C1 is a high-output engine in a compact package — and under circuit conditions, both oil and water temps rise sharply because the factory water-cooled oil cooler can't shed heat fast enough. When temps spike, fail-safe mode activates and kills your performance. The HKS Oil Cooler Kit adds an air-cooled oil cooler that provides high heat exchange efficiency, suppressing temperature rise in both oil and coolant to keep the engine out of fail-safe and performing at its best.

The kit mounts a 48mm wide 9-layer oil cooler core with a special air duct inside the inner fender for maximum airflow. An integrated thermostat prevents over-cooling, and an insulator on the stainless mesh hose reduces oil pump pulsation noise transmitted to the cabin. Vehicle modification is minimal — limited to the back of the bumper, inner fender, and brake duct.
