HKS Intercooler Kit | 23+ Civic Type R FL5, 23+ Integra Type S DE5

Core-only installation requires modifying the bumper's air guide and relocating the outside air temperature sensor — no reinforcement modification needed. Piping installation requires shaving a body bracket. The Full Kit requires both modifications. Available as Core only, Core + PRL Piping Kit, or Core + HKS Piping Kit.

The factory intercooler core on the FL5 and DE5 runs out of cooling capacity once you start pushing boost, and HKS built this core specifically to fix that ceiling. A 22.4% larger core area brings real gains: HKS measured an intercooler outlet temperature of 30.3°C versus 56.0°C on the stock core at 7000 RPM, an efficiency jump from 67% to 88%. The core is compatible with the factory piping if you're not ready to upgrade that yet.

HKS's piping kit swaps the factory rubber hose sections for larger-diameter aluminum piping, eliminating the pressure loss that comes from rubber hose expanding under high boost. The aluminum pipes get a mirror-buff finish, and both the cast pipe and core carry the HKS logo for a clean, finished look under the hood.
