Fortune Auto's Generation 8 500 Series is their entry point into true coilover performance, built around a High Flow Digressive Piston that balances daily comfort against real track capability rather than forcing a choice between the two. Digressive piston tuning gives you firm low-speed compression and rebound control — exactly what keeps body roll, dive, and squat in check during spirited driving — while staying supple over fast, sharp inputs like potholes and expansion joints.

The FK8/FL5/DE5 platform ships with a divorced-rear setup from the factory, meaning the spring and shock are separate components rather than one coilover assembly. Ride height on a divorced-rear setup is adjusted at the spring perch, then the shock has to be matched to avoid overloading either component — more involved to set up than a traditional true-rear coilover, which is why Fortune Auto also offers a true-rear version if you'd rather skip that extra step.

Every damper is custom built and dyno tested, backed by a 5-year limited manufacturer's warranty, with 24-step external adjustment. T6 6061 aluminum mounts and camber plates keep the assembly lightweight and precise, and everything is rebuildable and revalveable at Fortune Auto's Richmond, VA facility.
