The Eventuri intake for the FK8 Type R was developed through extensive dyno testing and flow analysis with two specific objectives: maintain low inlet temperatures and de-restrict the turbo inlet path.

Low IATs are achieved by enclosing the filter inside a carbon airbox that uses the stock hood seal to block engine heat — critical because the intake sits directly behind the radiator. Exposing the filter to that heat would result in a measurable power loss. The inlet path is de-restricted by removing the flexible OEM tubing and replacing it with a Venturi stack connected directly to the filter. A second inlet with a scoop pulling air from the inner wing area nearly doubles the total cross-sectional area through which the turbo can draw, compared to the single-entry OEM system.
