EBC's RP-X is built for cars driven hard on track, with a high friction coefficient of 0.55 across 0-750C (ambient to 1400F) and full brake effect right from cold - no warm-up lap needed. That makes it a strong choice for sprint racing or hill climb events where full performance has to be there immediately, and equally suited to any circuit driving where you want strong initial bite and powerful response.

EBC is clear that RP-X isn't better than RP-1, just a different, more aggressive response character that some drivers will simply prefer.
