Underbody aero pieces like front air dams, undertrays, and rear diffusers do a lot of the heavy lifting for high-speed stability, and APR's Front Air Dam for the FL5 is built to reduce lift, increase front-end stability, and improve grip through fast corners. It integrates directly with the factory front bumper rather than looking like a bolt-on afterthought.

A built-in aerodynamic splitter design creates a high-pressure region of air atop the protruding surface, further reducing lift and increasing net downforce beyond what the air dam shape alone would provide. Like the rest of APR's carbon fiber lineup, it's formed in an autoclave at high temperature using pre-preg carbon fiber manufacturing for high strength at low weight.
