aFe's Momentum system centers on a 7.5" tall, 360-degree radial flow air filter — as much filtration surface area as the housing can physically accommodate. The Pro 5R media uses five layers of progressively finer cotton gauze for genuinely high flow without sacrificing filtration, and the inverted top design adds even more surface area for longer service intervals between cleanings.

The one-piece housing is molded from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) with a patent-pending filter-to-housing interface that keeps part count low and installation simple. A clear sight window lets you check filter condition without disassembling anything, and an auxiliary air inlet (with included plug) gives you the option to pull additional air from the engine bay if desired. The dyno-tuned intake tube is computer-designed for both maximum flow and a precise fit, built from the same heat-soak-resistant XLPE material.
