The ACUITY Short Throw Adapter can be appreciated as much during street driving as at the track. The Short Throw Adapter reduces the mechanical advantage of the shifter to provide shorter, stiffer gear throws. The extender is turned and milled from 300 series stainless steel, making it strong and extremely corrosion resistant. Acuity's unique clamping design ensures the extender will stay fastened, even with a modest amount of torque. This pairs very well with Acuity's Shifter Base Bushings (1914), Shifter Centering Spring Upgrade (1918), and Shifter Rocker Upgrade (1922).

By reducing the throw at the shifter, you are effectively reducing the play in the shifter cables by the same amount you are reducing throw. When the throw is reduced at the transmission, the play from the cables remains the same while the throw is reduced. This was the primary motivation for Acuity's choice to make a short throw adapter that fits to the shifter.

Honda should done it stock !
I bought it pair with esco t-6 & spring and now I understand why people didn't like the stock feeling. Maybe a most !

Just the best, #1 recommended upgrades for 10th gen Civics

Within 2 days of getting my Si, I resolved to do something about the terrible shifter. Honda shifters are usually so good, and I couldn't stand the 10th gen Si shifter as it was. So plasticky and rubbery and floppy.
I installed the short throw adapter, upgraded return spring, shifter base bushings, and rocker upgrade, and now the shifter feels RIGHT. Like a proper Honda shifter. It should have been this way from the factory. Stop reading this and buy the damn Acuity stuff, it's SO MUCH BETTER. Acuity also has both pdf instructions and step by step YouTube videos on installing the stuff, it was time consuming but very easy. Took maybe 2.5 hours for everything, though I did not get the engine bay side bushings.

Full disclosure: I didn't know about this site when I bought my Acuity stuff, I got the parts elsewhere, but they're so awesome I had to pass it on. I would have gotten them from Humza here if I had known about this site at the time for sure, along with the Type R shifter assembly but I missed the boat on that, and I ain't taking my whole damn interior apart again. For the price, I would have gotten that whole package and called it a hell of a deal. This is the only site I know of that sells that as a package deal, and I wish I had gotten that Type R shifter too. :(
