The R400 produces a unique, agressive note while minimising harsh cabin noise (particularly at highway speeds). The R400 muffler was designed using years of experience from Invidia's engineers to allow the perfect balance between unrestricted exhaust gas flow and sound dampening. This exhaust system will provides a pronounced exhaust note throughout the entire RPM band even when only installed as a cat-back system. The R400 muffler design also looks great with a race inspired design that will turn heads.

From start to finish the Invidia Exhaust Systems are designed with performance in mind with the exhaust route carefully selected to ensure minimal bends, allowing for an unobstructed exit of exhaust gases with minimal restrictions and turbulence. This will allow for improvements in both horsepower and torque, along with improvements in throttle response with a reduction in turbo lag for turbocharged vehicles. Additionally, you get the reward of an aggressive exhaust note.

First and foremost, big shout out to Humza and the team for outstanding customer service. In this review I'll cover customer service and the exhaust itself, starting with the exhaust.
As is anything stamped with the "R400" mark, it can be loud and has a small bit of drone. That said, this is the best tamed exhaust that I've heard from Invidia in terms of drone. This exhaust is slightly louder than stock at idle, and driving around town is pleasant. When you need to punch it, this exhaust really wakes up and sounds fantastic. This is the one time I will say that an R400 is probably not going to make your neighbors hate you. Install was a breeze (by myself even), the quality and fitment of the exhaust is top notch and at no point did I struggle to get things to line up or tighten down how they should. One thing to note - the exhaust comes with bolts to attach to an aftermarket downpipe, so if you have three extra bolts, save them for a downpipe install later (or if any get damaged). I highly recommend this exhaust, considering the price point, the fitment, build quality, and overall sound. You're not going to beat this!
Onto customer service, since this was my first time buying from Unity. Humza and I had a long email thread going back and forth, and customer service was great. I had originally ordered the burnt tips which wound up getting backordered nearly two months (not Unity's fault). Humza repeatedly offered to swap the burnt tips out for the black tips. Where I started as an "absolutely not" (because I was being an Invidia burnt tip purist), I spent time looking at the black tips and finally agreed. REALLY happy that I chose the black tips and broke from my bias... this setup looks amazing on the car and really blends in with the diffuser well. Big thanks to Unity for outstanding customer service, I really enjoyed communicating with Humza. Unity is now my go-to for FL5 parts.
Finally a perfect mix of loud and good sound with livable drone, welds look really good and fits up perfectly, install is easy enough, definitely recommend, a proper exhaust at a great price point, can’t really go wrong
