_______
Wide Open Throttle Performance (WOT) has teamed up with High Performance Tuning (HPT) to bring innovative cooling solutions to the Civic Type R FK8, Civic Type R FL5, and Integra Type S DE5 platforms. Customers have also confirmed that the Cooling Plates work with non-Type R and non-Type S trims.

The first product in this collaboration is a vented, aluminum cooling plate undertray—a simple upgrade that delivers big results where it matters most: heat extraction and airflow efficiency.
How it works
As the car moves, a low-pressure zone forms beneath the cooling plate. This helps pull hot air out of the engine bay through the integrated vents, lowering engine bay pressure and promoting stronger airflow through the radiator. At higher speeds (like on track), airflow is guided cleanly into the high-velocity air stream under the vehicle for more efficient evacuation.
Proven testing results
WOT tested the cooling plate on the demanding Virginia City Hillclimb (approximately 1,200 ft elevation gain over 5 miles) and recorded measurable improvements:
-
Up to 17°F reduction in peak coolant temperatures
-
Up to 7°F reduction in peak oil temperatures
(Testing graphs and event details are shown in the product images.)

Key benefits
-
2mm high-grade aluminum construction (significantly stronger than the thin OE undertray)
Helps protect the engine and transmission from road/track debris and impact damage. -
Upgraded M6 stainless hardware
More secure than OE quarter-turn fasteners that can loosen over time. -
Lower under-hood temperatures
-
Reduced coolant temps
-
Reduced oil temps
-
Reduced risk of heat-related limp mode
-
-
More consistent performance on track
Spend less time cooling down and more time driving.
