This heat shield matches the OEM shape and fitment exactly, but swaps in aerospace-grade hard-lagged construction rated to withstand up to 1200°C — real protection against turbo and downpipe heat soak in the engine bay on the K20C1. An inner insulating material is pressed into shape, then a metallic skin is micro spot-welded over it to fully enclose the insulation, with that outer skin doubling as an additional thermal barrier layer.
