Unlike a typical dash cam where footage lives inside the windshield-mounted camera, the DR970X Box system separates the recording unit from the cameras entirely — the main unit can be hidden elsewhere in the car, giving you a cleaner setup and real protection against footage being lost if someone tampers with the visible camera. The 4K front camera uses a Sony STARVIS 2 sensor for genuinely sharp forward footage, while a Full HD infrared interior camera keeps the cabin visible even at night.
