Clutch kits for the 1.5T Civic platform have historically been hit or miss — mostly miss. This kit wasn't offered until it was personally tested through careful break-in, daily driving, WOT pulls, and two full track days. After 3,000 miles on the ACT HC10-HDSS, the verdict is clear: this kit works. The clutch pedal is mildly stiffer than stock with solid, predictable engagement — not heavy enough to call it a leg day. The 17.6 lb aluminum flywheel (vs. 32.5 lb factory dual-mass unit) makes revs rise and drop dramatically faster, giving the engine a much more lively, responsive character.
No chatter, no rev hang. Suitable for FBO builds and has been run on big turbo setups in the community without issue. Note: if you plan to shift at redline under racing conditions, pairing with an upgraded Clutch Master Cylinder and SS clutch line (CDV delete) is recommended to avoid lockout — a known factory CMC limitation, not a clutch kit issue.
