27WON Cold Air Intake (CAI) | 16-21 Civic 1.5T & Si

This was probably one of the smartest purchases I've made for my 2018 Si so far. Because of the boarder and issues currently with bring things into canada the wait for the part was long. But the crew at unity was great and answered every single one of my annoying emails for updates lol. The install took roughly an hour and I only had two issues. 1. The bolts at the bottom of the stock intake system is a pain to get to, you have two options. First option as pointed out by Rick's Garage is removing the under pan to get at it, that's a lot of work. Or the second option is investing in some ratcheting wrenchs. Luckily I have every tool made for working on cars (minus a lift) so I used my wrench. The second issue was the bolts to hold down the 27won box that's inside the box. My hands are xl size and there was no way I could get it in there so I had to remove the filter to get at it. After that was done everything else was smooth. Now this CAI sounds absolutely wicked when you punch it. Can hear the turbo breath a lot better then that extremely restrictive stock box. I also got 27won turbo pipe when I installed the CAI and the combination of the two not only woke my car up and made it that much more enjoyable to drive, but after going for a 3 hour cruise my fuel mileage went down 9.2L to 8L per 100km. That in itself was worth the money.

At first i was worried with modding the civic cvt with more power and noise but this definitely brought it to life. If you get the race maf then you will need a tune but night and day from stock with such a simple upgrade. Not the hardest install ever but make sure to read the instructions fully and try not to skip steps.

It’s been about a week since I got the 27 Won CAI. Installation was super easy, takes probably around 30 to 45 mins. You can definitely hear the turbo more which makes daily driving way more fun. intake sounds amazing. installing took 45mins super easy, everything was straight forward.

Combined with the 27won turbo inlet pipe gives strong pull even on low or no boost acceleration. Perfectly designed for the north east climate where in my area temps range from -30C to +30C with high humidities even in cold weather. No issues ever with freezing or frosting and never hydrolocked even splashing thru slush puddles. Well thought design that installed easier than it was to remove the stock components. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for the advantage of cold air intake without any of the issues.
