ZL1 Addons Rock Guards | 17-21 Civic Type R FK8

These fall at a more reasonable price point than other brands, and though I have an SI and not a CTR, I thought I'd give it a shot as another reviewer did as I felt the OEM ones were a bit of an eye-sore.

They do fit well enough with some minor adjustments (shape and holes) and look pretty decent. They have a low profile as well, so don't stick out far from the body, which is what I was aiming for.

Of course, I can't speak to their fit on a CTR but the material and quality are solid.

SEDAN INSTALL: Deluxe ZL1's have rounded edge, whereas their Standard product is sharp edged. ZL1 do not make a product specifically for the 10th gen Sedan...and their Coupe & Hatch products are only available in Standard finish anyway. The solution is to buy the Type R guards, and then just drill the holes you need... You will want to trim the upper portion a bit also to suit your preferences. This can be done with a hot utility blade, tin snips, a Dremel or other tool. The Type R rock guards project a bit more to the outside and thus achieve a slightly more aggressive look and give better coverage. Very pleased with the product now that they are installed. I recommend tracing the mudguard on cardboard when you receive them, and test fitting with the cardboard. Figure out where you need holes, adjust the cardboard to suit (holes & length) and then tape your new template back to the mudguard and drill and cut the guard to match your cardboard. It's not difficult.
