After installing the baffle and before final oil pan installation, rotate the crank by hand to confirm no connecting rod interference. Clean mating surfaces thoroughly and keep them oil-free for a proper RTV seal.

The factory pan on these platforms has zero oil pan baffling, leaving the engine genuinely vulnerable to oil starvation during hard cornering or braking on track or spirited street driving. When oil sloshes away from the pickup, the pump draws air instead of oil, and pressure drops fast — within seconds that can mean metal-to-metal contact on bearings and crank surfaces, and real engine damage.

Wunderladen's baffle replaces the factory windage tray with a system built specifically to prevent that: eight one-way trap doors let oil flow toward the pickup but block it from flowing back out, and three-direction surge plates counter oil slosh regardless of which way the car is loading, all conforming tightly to the factory pan shape. It's validated with real data, too — over 50,000 data points from controlled A/B testing showed the pressure dips present in the stock setup were eliminated once installed.
