Wrapping your turbo isolates the heat exhaust gases generate, keeping it on the hot side of the turbo instead of soaking into the engine bay and intake path — that translates into cooler intake air, reduced turbo lag, and a genuine efficiency gain. PTP's testing shows up to 60% reduction in under-hood heat, which also protects and extends the life of nearby components.

The Lava blanket's outer layer is woven from pulverized volcanic lava rock rated for 1800°F direct heat and 2500°F radiant heat, with an internal layer of high-temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool overlaid with stainless steel mesh for durability.
