SUMA Performance Wide-angle Side Mirrors | 16-21 Civic

I was using those little Amazon blind spot mirrors and this is a world better. No blind spot and I can see the whole road on each side. Does take some getting used to but once you're adjusted you'll never want to go back.

I'm going to write the review here that I was looking for. I was looking for somebody that had tints and could comment on how it performed even with the blue haze on the mirrors. And I have to say that with very dark tints it didn't make any difference. In fact, the blue is better since it blocked out the glare from LED lights. Get these, these should be industry standard for every car. So much safer and better than the little wide angle mirrors I used to get from Amazon.

As stated once you get used to them (there is an adjustment period) they work well with showing more of a view than stock ones. Install wasn't bad followed the video they have with the instructions, just make sure you have all the parts when you take them off including the metal rings. Almost thought I broke the joint/motor since it wasn't moving correctly turned out the metal rung that tightens the ball joint. One thing is I grabbed the grease off the OEM stock ones adding it to the SUMA mirrors. The heat wires are plug play no issues there. I have been using these for 2-3 months since self install.

The reason I give it 4 stars are for the following reasons. It's not too major but for some it could be so just figured I'd share. If you have other people drive your car they probably won't be used to the mirrors right away as there is an adjustment period to get used to them. 2nd is due to the blue tint, if you have your front windows tinted that makes it that much more difficult to use them at night. I end up having to roll down my windows when backing up or if the area is not well lit.

I bought these before Christmas and just got them today. As I'm a big kid I ripped the package open and proceeded to watch the video on Suma's site. I immediately went out and slowly, gently popped off the OEM mirrors, took them inside to 'warm them up'. I pulled the brackets off easily and removed the grease cover from the new mirrors. I popped on the brackets and went out, lined up the Up-Dn and side-to-side connectors and slowly, gently applied pressure until they popped in. I turned on the car and tested adjusting the mirrors. BAM! Done in less than 15 minutes! NO MORE BLINDSPOT!
I have a '19 R so no safety features and the OEM mirrors caused GIANT gaps on my left side. I am pumped to have these!
