Short ram intakes are extremely sensitive to heat-soak on this chassis — performance gains will lessen as the engine bay heats up, which is why we generally recommend the Cobra CAI instead if heat-soak is a concern for your use case.

PRL's CNC-machined billet aluminum MAF housing is engineered to keep your fuel trims within factory spec (within -4% of factory STFT & LTFT) for reliable drivability while still unlocking real gains. This SRI runs a 4" air filter and comes in two configurations — Street and Race — both using your factory MAF sensor but with different housing diameters and profiles.

The Street housing delivers its gain with zero tuning required, while the Race housing opens up 50% more airflow than Street for a bigger gain — which is why it requires a Race MAF-specific tune. Both Hondata and KTuner offer Race MAF basemap calibrations. If you want to switch MAF housings later, the MAF Housing Conversion Kit lets you do that without buying a whole new intake, and the Cold Air Intake Conversion Kit lets you convert this SRI into a full CAI down the road.
