PRL built this around an I-beam core, the same structural principle used in connecting rods, for real resistance to bending and vibration rather than just adding material for the sake of it. Two 60A EPDM bushings are press-fit into a precision-machined billet 6061 aluminum mount, and that press-fit connection matters: it eliminates gaps that would otherwise cause metallic vibration or noise, letting the EPDM actually do the job of absorbing engine and chassis vibration.

EPDM isn't a random choice — it resists heat, ozone, chemicals, and abrasion far better than urethane, and its higher density means PRL can use a softer, lower-durometer bushing that cuts vibration while still improving rigidity over the factory mount. Unlike urethane, EPDM won't mushroom, wallow out, or break down with age, which is exactly why OE manufacturers use it in the first place.
