Paragon Performance offers four rear brake pad compounds ranging from street-friendly daily drivers to full race compounds. Select the compound that matches your use case below.

P2 — Sport Comfort (Street)

Non-metallic compound designed for street use with a balance of performance and daily drivability. Minimal dust and noise, improved initial bite and modulation over stock, excellent pad and rotor life. Works from ambient temperature.

  • Effective range: Ambient – 932°F (500°C) | Avg Mu: 0.29–0.32
  • Comparable to: Hawk HPS, Project Mu B Spec
  • Street use only

P3 — Road & Track (Street / Track)

Semi-metallic all-round compound for sport driving, autocross, and light track duty while maintaining street drivability. Best modulation and control among the P-series. Great rear option when running R5 up front for a more front-biased setup. Works from ambient temperature.

  • Effective range: Ambient – 1112°F (600°C) | Avg Mu: 0.34–0.37
  • Comparable to: Ferodo DS2500, Endless MX72, Hawk HP+, Pagid RS4-2
  • Street / track use

R5 — High Friction Track / Competition (Track)

Metallic dedicated track compound with high friction, precise modulation, and a flat torque curve for consistent braking throughout the effective range. Relatively easy on rotors vs. competitors' race pads. Elevated dust and noise vs. P-series. Great rear option when running R7 up front for a more front-biased setup.

  • Effective range: 212–1382°F (100–750°C) | Avg Mu: 0.40–0.43
  • Comparable to: Endless CC38, Project Mu Racing 777, Ferodo DS3000, Pagid RS44
  • Track use

R7 — Maximum Friction Track / Competition (Track)

Full race compound with maximum coefficient of friction. Ideal for advanced high-speed track events, competitions, and heavier cars requiring maximum braking performance. Higher fade resistance than R5, solid pedal feel throughout the effective range. Excellent pad and rotor life.

  • Effective range: 212–1562°F (100–850°C) | Avg Mu: 0.48–0.53
  • Comparable to: Endless CC60, Cobalt XR1, Pagid RS29, Ferodo DS3000+
  • Track use only

Note: Track and race compounds (R5, R7) are not recommended for street use due to elevated dust, noise, and reduced effectiveness at ambient temperatures. If these trade-offs are acceptable, they can be used on the street.
