The ADS Error Cancellor Kit is only needed on FL5 models with the factory adaptive damper system, to deactivate dash warnings and error codes when the electronic suspension is replaced. It plugs directly into the OEM suspension controls — no programming required.

We run this exact coilover kit on our own shop FK8 build, and that's not a call we made lightly. The factory Civic Type R already has some of the best adjustable dampers on the market from the factory — we weren't going to hand customers a budget coilover set just because it's an easy sell. Ohlins Road & Track is the only setup we've found that actually beats the factory dampers on comfort, while still giving you the ability to dial in stiffer than +R mode when you want it.

Öhlins' Dual Flow Valve (DFV) technology lets you change the character of the damper with one turn of the gold knob — twist it into race mode at the track and all four damping circuits (high and low-speed compression and rebound) firm up together. The result is sharper response, more bump absorption, and a car that stays planted and easy to balance right at the edge of grip, so you can carry more speed before you feel the tires start to give. Back off to road mode for the drive home and you get a noticeably more comfortable ride than stock, without giving back the quicker response you just got used to at the track. Slimmer shock bodies also free up extra clearance for track wheels 10" and wider, running 285-width tires and up.
