The factory FL5 resonator does its job a little too well — it locks away most of the turbo whistle, pops, and crackles the 2.0L engine is actually capable of. This resonator delete mid pipe removes that restriction with a straight-through 2.5" mandrel-bent T304 stainless design, unlocking a deeper, more characterful exhaust note and noticeably more turbo sound under boost, while keeping the factory exhaust valve system fully intact — so you still get quiet, refined valves-closed driving whenever you want it.

It's the subtle end of the MRT lineup: more presence than stock, a genuinely rewarding crackle-and-pop character on deceleration, but tuned to stay near-silent at highway cruise with virtually no drone. Install takes about an hour with standard hand tools (splash guard removal required), no tune needed, and it's backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Note this can't be combined with the MRT Street Race Axle-Back — the axle-back is designed to pair with the stock mid pipe, not this one.
