The R400 is the rowdier of Invidia's two options for the DE5, built with the same impeccable Japanese fit and finish and classic stainless steel burnt tips as the Q300, but tuned for a bigger step up in sound tone and volume.

R400 vs. Q300: The R400 is louder across the board — cold start, idle, revs, and general driving will all be noticeably louder than the Q300. On the stock downpipe you won't get drone, but add an aftermarket downpipe and you will pick up some cabin boom. The Q300 runs larger rear mufflers and is the tamer choice, better suited to family in the car, long highway drives, and daily use — it stays drone-free even with an aftermarket high-flow downpipe.
