If you're deciding between the Q300 and R400, here are the facts:

  • The Q300 is the more tame option, having larger rear mufflers. It's more ideal for those with family members in the car, long drives etc. If you have an aftermarket high-flow Downpipe, we know the Q300 won't have drone
  • The R400 is the rowdier exhaust - cold start, idle, revs, and driving conditions will all be louder with the R400. With the stock downpipe, you won't have drone, but with an aftermarket downpipe there will be some boom in the cabin.

Solid exhaust

Sound and quality both solid. Install was easy. I’d say this is a louder version of the apexi exhaust. Mines paired with a TSP down pipe, there is drone but livable. Comfort settings volume is around sport setting. The pops are more pops than cracks and snaps that you’d get in something like MBRP or Borla. My center tip was a little bent and has a small scratch that happened during shipping. No fault on Unity’s part, didn’t bother to bring it up with them but just be wary things happen. Communication was quick and courteous as always. Shipping was quick-ish only because I was slow to pull the trigger and they sold out but once back in stock it moved cross country pretty quickly. All in all I’m glad I went with this over the q300, I’d buy it again and at this price it’s a no brainer.

Love the thorough review, Samuel! Apologies about the exhaust having a blemish, as you know they are moving from courier to courier 2-3 times before finally getting to you so things can happen.
