We have tested the Hawk HPS 5.0 on our Si & Type R. This will be an improvement over the OE pads, while being virtually silent and producing less brake dust. These pads also have a great resistance against heat, on top of their low operating temperatures which truly makes it the ideal pad for spirited daily driving and light track use. This pad is recommended for those who do about 1-2 track days on a smaller track, not ideal for a high speed track. 

The new pads are Ferro-Carbon compound brake pads that provide advanced braking characteristics to enhance the driving experience. This new compound combines the safety and quality of aerospace design partnered with the braking technology of motorsports. The results are shorter stopping distances, improved performance under heavy braking conditions and street car friendly characteristics.

Definition of “They alright”

Im not one to write bad reviews but this one does it. First time putting them on i got brake error light’s because the pads were Too thick. Couple thousand miles and some hard braking they finally dialed in. Couple thousand miles more and the paint on the pads started to flake off and they became noisy. Had to grease them multiple times now and im getting them replaced. Only good thing is they last a while and are low dust.
