The FK8 Type R has a well-documented overheating issue — especially 2017–2019 models in hot conditions. Acuity's engineers found that the radiator can reject heat more efficiently if coolant flow through it is reversed, due to how the intercooler sheds heat into the lower portion of the radiator. The result: up to 4.5°F (2.5°C) reduction in water temps on upgraded cars in hot conditions, with meaningful gains even on stock setups.

The polyester-reinforced silicone construction handles up to 100°F more heat than the factory EPDM rubber hoses. Included German-style hose clamps feature formed threads and rolled edges to protect the silicone from the cutting damage that standard clamps cause. Each kit includes 2 silicone radiator hoses and 4 German-style hose clamps.
