Includes German-style hose clamps (formed threads, rolled edges to prevent cutting silicone hoses) and hardware to relocate the ECT2 sensor for more accurate cold-side temperature readings. Gains are largest on cars with supporting mods like hood venting or an upgraded radiator; stock cars see a smaller but still real reduction.

ACUiTY developed these hoses as part of a project with Honda Racing Corporation to help their race cars run cooler, and the results speak for themselves — Team Honda Research FL5s running this exact setup took 1st and 2nd in class at the 2024 25 Hours of Thunderhill. The core idea is simple: reverse the water flow direction through the radiator, and the K20C-equipped FL5 and DE5 (which share a nearly identical cooling pack to the FK8 this was originally developed for) reject more heat.

In the stock configuration, the coolant exiting the radiator ends up close in temperature to the hot air exiting the intercooler at the bottom of the radiator, effectively neutering the lower half's cooling capacity in hot conditions. Reversing the flow puts the hottest coolant where the hottest air already is, and the coolest coolant where the coolest incoming air enters through the upper grille — aligning the radiator's thermal gradient with the airflow's thermal gradient for meaningfully better heat rejection.
