      The Acuity shift boot collar upgrade allows for virtually any design shift knob to fit flush with your shift boot. Within this kit there are 2 binding nuts, one which is meant for flat-bottomed knobs (similar to the Type R shift knob), and the other for more narrow-bottomed knobs. 

      Due to the fact this shift boot collar is made out of billet aluminum, gone are the days when you worry about breaking the OEM plastic boot ring when removing your shift knob. 

      The supplied binding nuts are turned and milled from stainless steel and have flats for a 12mm open-ended wrench. The boot collar is made from 6061 billet aluminum and receives a tasteful anodized/sandblasted finish before laser etching.

      Another Acuity Home Run Product

      Beautifully machined. This product separates the boot collar (which attaches to your leather shift boot using a nice included zip ties) from the shift lever shaft with the thread. Other products have you spinning your shifter plate around or some nonsense...Acuity shows the way forward again. The only issue you could have is if you have a third-party knob with a very deeply recessed shifter thread. Like if it is inset nearly an inch. In this case there may not be enough threads left above the Acuity to thread on your knob. For 99% of people this will not be an issue. This only affected me with a WC Lathewerks knob that had been designed as described. Chasing JS Empire knob is similar.
